April’s 2017 Make Every Dream Count Blazer Game Night

We did it! Another successful Make Every Dream Count Blazer Game Night in the books. In our 3rd year of MEDC, we raised the bar and accomplished it. After countless hours of planning and coordinating, we gave 30 families within the Clark County school districts the opportunity to go to a Portland Trail Blazer game on April 6 during their Spring Break.

Thanks to the grant by the Firstenburg Foundation, they made this possible. The families of (4) received an envelope from the sponsor to have a good time, $20 of food vouchers, (4) tickets and entry to the pre-game warmup. We also thank our sponsors RyonetPG Long Floor Covering and Carpet Cleaning, AL Merryman Company, Uber and Kris Greene State Farm Agency.

The process to select the families are with the school counselors. If you’re interested in participating next year, shoot us an email at info@dreambigcc.nwebster.m360.org. Our goal with this event is to provide these opportunities to families that couldn’t have afford it otherwise.

That’s why I don’t think I’m a Blazer fan, because I never was able to go to the game and instead rooted the Chicago Bulls. But I root for them now since they’re our local team.

Fortunately, the Blazers won with a great comeback victory. To check out the pictures, go to our social media pages. Type #MEDCGameNight and #MEDC. Looking forward to a bigger and better event next year. We hope you join us!

As one board member has said, "I've been an ant's eyelash away from getting into trouble." That goes for me too. I've been blessed numerous times. Dream Big is my brainchild, because I want our youth know their potential is worth fighting for- and it's my job to help them dream it, build it, and live it. It's a community effort, so please join me.
